Ovulation induction

A medical way of stimulation of ovulation for the development of the ovarian follicles to reverse anovulation and also used in the sense of triggering oocyte release from relatively mature ovarian follicles.

IUI

The goal of IUI is to increase the number of sperm that reach the fallopian tubes and subsequently increase the chance of fertilization by placing sperm inside the uterus of a woman.

IUI(D)

It is a concept of insemination with donor semen in case the partner's ejaculate contains none or an insufficient number of motile sperm cells.

FET

Frozen Embryo Transfer is a tactic that refers to a step in the process of assisted reproduction in which emobyos are placed into the uterus of a female with the intent to establish a pregnancy.

ICSI

One of the most successful form of treatment for men who are infertile and is used in nearly half of all IVF treatments. ICSI only needs one sperm, which is injected directly into the egg. Furthermore, the fertilised egg is then transfered to your uterus to cause a pregnancy.

IVF

An assisted way of reproductive technology commonly referred as In Vitro Fertilisation. It is a process of fertilisation by extracting eggs, retrieving a sperm sample and then manually combining an egg and sperm in a laboratory dish. The embyo is then transferred to the uterus.

Surrogacy

Surrogacy is a process which is mainly adopted by couples who do not conceive via normal intercourse and opt for this alternative to be blessed with a child. Surrogacy involves the indulgence of IVF where the embryos are prepared and placed inside the uterus to initiate the pregnancy.

Egg Donation

It is a process where the eggs of the donor are harvested from her ovaries through a surgical procedure and fertilized in the laboratory, the same procedure used on IVF patient, but the resulting embryo is then transferred to a woman's uterus.

Laproscopy or Hysteroscopy

It is a procedure to look inside of the abdomen and pelvis using a laparoscope. This helps to see the ovaries outside of the tubes and uterus and other orgns inside the abdomen.
